American Express investeert in de FalconX crypto exchange!

American Express (Amex Ventures) wil deel uitmaken van de toekomst en investeert in FalconX. FalconX werkt aan de infrastructuur voor de nieuwe digitale economie gebaseerd op tokens en cryptovaluta. FalconX bedient hier de instituties, exchanges, OTC-desk, beleggingsfonden en crypto miners voor het verwerken van vooral Bitcoin-handelstransacties.

FalconX bedient op dit moment al 250 institutionele klanten en heeft al een maandelijks transactievolume gehad van 3 miljard dollar. Verder beschikt FalconX over een kredietfaciliteit waar afgelopen november voor 1 miljard dollar werd geleend voor het overbruggen en verlengen van de transactie-afwikkelingstijden.

In de woorden van de CEO Raghu Yarlagadda in de press release van FalconX:

“We’re seeing growing interest from traditional asset managers who are adding cryptocurrencies as an inflationary hedge, catalyzed by recent macro-economic policies,” ..... “It is a great pleasure to welcome American Express Ventures as we continue to invest in expanding FalconX’s product offering.”

Banken, financiële instellingen en beleggers investeren nu massaal in crypto exchanges, custody solutions en andere diensten voor het bouwen van een nieuwe financiële infrastructuur. We zijn getuige van, zoals Niall Ferguson het al aangaf, van een monetaire revolutie.
